ABOUT

Jackman Maine's blog is brought to you by Tami and Steve at Cozy Cove Cabins. Our goal is to bring you all the latest tidbits and happening not only here at Cozy Cove but around the region. We will provide with the actual weather as we see it, fishing conditions or at least what our guests say they are catching, moose sightings, trail conditions, and simply, anything we want to pass on to you. Topics could be just about anything but we will try to maintain within the listed categories.

This is also where we will post any BLOG SPECIALS for our cabins. We will list them under the Cozy Cove Cabins Category. All of our discounts follow the same guidelines:
* A 2 night minimum stay
* Payment must be made by cash or check
* Not applicable with any other web or cabin discount
* You must mention that "you saw it on the blog" when you first call for the reservation

SO thank you for stopping in and welcome to our Jackman Maine Blog. We hope you enjoy keeping up to date with us and please, feel free to add a comment, offer more details, or provide information for the author or other our readers. Many children also enjoy this blog so please, keep it clean!

Remember that all of the information we post on our blog is copy protected, but we are not opposed to sharing. If there is ever an image or a story you would like to use, please ask us about it.

Wintery weather

February 11, 2008 | 0 comments

Last night we went out to dinner and when we left, it had just started to snow. By the time we left the restaurant, I would say about an hour later, the snow was up past my ankles. That is about 4 inches. It seems hard to believe but it is true I stepped out of my car and measured it

Now realize too that the wind was also blowing pretty good at that time so the amount of snow I stepped in to may have been added to by the wind.

The wind continued to blow all night and although it looked like it was snowing, snowing sideways, I do not know if it was snow from the sky or if the rest of the snow on the lake was blowing on to our driveway

Anyhow, this morning, still bitter cold out and windy, I wanted to take a shot of our driveway. It may be difficult to see but there is a drift in front of Baja that is about 2 feet high.

More snow due this week.
