ABOUT

Jackman Maine's blog is brought to you by Tami and Steve at Cozy Cove Cabins. Our goal is to bring you all the latest tidbits and happening not only here at Cozy Cove but around the region. We will provide with the actual weather as we see it, fishing conditions or at least what our guests say they are catching, moose sightings, trail conditions, and simply, anything we want to pass on to you. Topics could be just about anything but we will try to maintain within the listed categories.

This is also where we will post any BLOG SPECIALS for our cabins. We will list them under the Cozy Cove Cabins Category. All of our discounts follow the same guidelines:
* A 2 night minimum stay
* Payment must be made by cash or check
* Not applicable with any other web or cabin discount
* You must mention that "you saw it on the blog" when you first call for the reservation

SO thank you for stopping in and welcome to our Jackman Maine Blog. We hope you enjoy keeping up to date with us and please, feel free to add a comment, offer more details, or provide information for the author or other our readers. Many children also enjoy this blog so please, keep it clean!

Remember that all of the information we post on our blog is copy protected, but we are not opposed to sharing. If there is ever an image or a story you would like to use, please ask us about it.

If you want to know more about staying at Cozy Cove Cabins, come on over to our website and explore. We look forward to meeting you.

Tuckaway Shores --AWAY!

June 08, 2007 | 0 comments

For those of you who have been coming to Jackman in the past 20 years, there is a chance that you may of stayed at Tuckaway Shores at one time or another. And if you did not know it yet, the owners that had it for about 19 years, sold last fall to private owners. This spring, the demolition has begun.

As of today, all but 3 cabins have been removed. One more to be moved today, one to be demolished later and the other, I think will be moved next week. Below is a picture I took today before they were all gone.

We're going to enjoy our new neighbors but it is always sad to see a bit of history go away.

The good thing is, a few of the cabins are going to be recycled elsewhere. And many of the logs in the home will also be put to good use...maybe even here
