ABOUT

Jackman Maine's blog is brought to you by Tami and Steve at Cozy Cove Cabins. Our goal is to bring you all the latest tidbits and happening not only here at Cozy Cove but around the region. We will provide with the actual weather as we see it, fishing conditions or at least what our guests say they are catching, moose sightings, trail conditions, and simply, anything we want to pass on to you. Topics could be just about anything but we will try to maintain within the listed categories.

This is also where we will post any BLOG SPECIALS for our cabins. We will list them under the Cozy Cove Cabins Category. All of our discounts follow the same guidelines:
* A 2 night minimum stay
* Payment must be made by cash or check
* Not applicable with any other web or cabin discount
* You must mention that "you saw it on the blog" when you first call for the reservation

SO thank you for stopping in and welcome to our Jackman Maine Blog. We hope you enjoy keeping up to date with us and please, feel free to add a comment, offer more details, or provide information for the author or other our readers. Many children also enjoy this blog so please, keep it clean!

Remember that all of the information we post on our blog is copy protected, but we are not opposed to sharing. If there is ever an image or a story you would like to use, please ask us about it.

If you want to know more about staying at Cozy Cove Cabins, come on over to our website and explore. We look forward to meeting you.

Jackman Trail report February 1, 2010

February 01, 2010 | 0 comments

Guests who road their sleds from Stratton Maine, stayed with us last night as part of their 3 day, 350 mile journey. They wrote: "Almost cancelled trip" due to last weeks rain "But glad we didn't. Trails in GREAT condition Mt Kineo from its base is SPECTACULAR Rt 66 from Kokajo- SWEET Hit 100mph on Pittston Farm Road. Ice Manatees on Moosehead"
They did the Border Riders loop north yesterday and said they were excellent. This morning, our other guests did the loop and said it was fantastic-over 6 inches of fresh powder. One group did the Long Pond Loop and said that was really bad. Use caution around the corners when going east and south especially.

SO even though we have not much additional snow since the rain, (flurried again last night with a few inches here and over 6 out on the trails) the weather is staying cold and the groomers have been going out making you some of the best riding around. We still need to do a few snow dances though.
