ABOUT

Jackman Maine's blog is brought to you by Tami and Steve at Cozy Cove Cabins. Our goal is to bring you all the latest tidbits and happening not only here at Cozy Cove but around the region. We will provide with the actual weather as we see it, fishing conditions or at least what our guests say they are catching, moose sightings, trail conditions, and simply, anything we want to pass on to you. Topics could be just about anything but we will try to maintain within the listed categories.

This is also where we will post any BLOG SPECIALS for our cabins. We will list them under the Cozy Cove Cabins Category. All of our discounts follow the same guidelines:
* A 2 night minimum stay
* Payment must be made by cash or check
* Not applicable with any other web or cabin discount
* You must mention that "you saw it on the blog" when you first call for the reservation

SO thank you for stopping in and welcome to our Jackman Maine Blog. We hope you enjoy keeping up to date with us and please, feel free to add a comment, offer more details, or provide information for the author or other our readers. Many children also enjoy this blog so please, keep it clean!

Remember that all of the information we post on our blog is copy protected, but we are not opposed to sharing. If there is ever an image or a story you would like to use, please ask us about it.

If you want to know more about staying at Cozy Cove Cabins, come on over to our website and explore. We look forward to meeting you.

Border Crossing 2008

December 21, 2007 | 1 comments

Living in a border town, plus many of our guests like to go into Quebec to visit or to snowmobile or ATV, I have been trying to determine what is needed in 2008 to travel into Quebec. I have looked at Homeland security sites and border crossing sites and what I came up with is actually was the officers at the border are saying....I talked with both sides yesterday...

If you plan to drive, snowmobile or ATV into Canada after January 1st, 2008, you can get into Canada with only your drivers license (plus if asked, you will need proof of insurance and registration). BUT you cannot return into the states without a photo ID (Drivers license for example) and proof of citizenship (birth certificate) OR a passport. Sometime in the summer 2008 the passport requirements will hold but for now, please be sure you have at least those 2 documents to return home. (plus again, the normal things needed to drive an auto, sled or ATV)

This is one web site I found to get a copy of your birth certificate on line... http://www.birthcertificatesusa.com/ or visit your own town government for more information. I have not used this site but it is only an example.

If you have children, you may want to confirm what is needed as a photo ID for them. Do schools now issue something like this?

Have a happy safe New year when you welcome it in!

Happy holidays!

You have a nice blog on your "cozy cove cabin". Is this cabin for rent? You should consider adding your rental to sites like "vacation centre for free. Just a suggestion.
