Jackman Maine's blog is brought to you by Tami and Steve at Cozy Cove Cabins. Our goal is to bring you all the latest tidbits and happening not only here at Cozy Cove but around the region. We will provide with the actual weather as we see it, fishing conditions or at least what our guests say they are catching, moose sightings, trail conditions, and simply, anything we want to pass on to you. Topics could be just about anything but we will try to maintain within the listed categories.

This is also where we will post any BLOG SPECIALS for our cabins. We will list them under the Cozy Cove Cabins Category. All of our discounts follow the same guidelines:
* A 2 night minimum stay
* Payment must be made by cash or check
* Not applicable with any other web or cabin discount
* You must mention that "you saw it on the blog" when you first call for the reservation

SO thank you for stopping in and welcome to our Jackman Maine Blog. We hope you enjoy keeping up to date with us and please, feel free to add a comment, offer more details, or provide information for the author or other our readers. Many children also enjoy this blog so please, keep it clean!

Jackman Maine Weather

February 18, 2011 | 1 comments

We had some rain this morning but it seems to be cooling off this afternoon. The weather forecast is just that...lower temperatures, wind and snow again tomorrow.

SO no fear Riding will still be great here

As for the trails...as of yesterday, reports are that the trails are excellent Most told us that some of the trails around the Forks though have not been groomed. The Long Pond Loop was fun and Coburn Mountain was a challenge but good. Otherwise, they recommend staying north of town. A popular destination this year is to ride to the "Old Trains" off Eagle Lake. It is about a 300 mile round trip.

SO we will see you soon! THINK SNOW! As riding should be good through March.

COMMENTS

what is the ice condition on big wood? is it still very slushy? thanks

Rick,
No it is not very slushy. The thickness is over 3 feet and as forecast, the temperatures dropped last night and this morning it is snowing.
